Rembrandt Residence Hotel
Here I am in Amsterdam. A lot of things here are named after Rembrandt.
I seriously doubt he ever lived here.

Canals
Canals, canals, canals. Amsterdam certainly is full of canals, isn't it?
Rijksmuseum
I walked over to the Rijksmuseum to see some great art. Here it is ahead.
"The Night Watch"
One of Rembrandt's best known (and certainly largest!) paintings. Luckily you
can take photos as long as you don't use a flash. Many tourists took
advantage of this.
"The Sampling Officials"
Rembrandt cleverly has one of the officials in the act of either sitting
down or getting up, thus avoiding having all the heads at the same level.
Self-Portrait
A self-portrait by Rembrandt.
Cimon and Perro
It's not all Rembrandt you know. Here is some Rubens.
Vinnie!
Defintely not all Rembrandt. Van Gogh gives us cornfields.
Self-portrait II
Vincent seemed to be short of material to paint that day, so he
painted himself.
Glass Windows
The stained-glass windows of the Rijksmuseum. Rembrandt is bottom right.
Parks
The park behind the Rijksmuseum.
Walking
I go for a walk around Amsterdam.
Canals, canals
yes, there's a lot of canals and bridges.
Canals, canals, canals
Yet more bridges and canals.
Houses
Rows of houses line the canals.
Café Nasty
For a country where everybody speaks perfect English, this seems a bit
strange. I didn't eat there :-)
Canals, canals, canals, canals
Even more canals!!
Canals, canals, canals, canals, canals
Yet more canals!!!
Funky Architecture
De Waag (weigh house), Nieuwmarkt, Amsterdam
Dam Square
The centre of Amsterdam.
The Obelisk
A suitably phallic centrepiece to Amsterdam. In Adelaide you might meet by the
balls in the Mall, whereas in Amsterdam you meet by the penis in the
square!
Royal Palace
The official Amsterdam residence of the Queen. Don't know if she spends
much time there though.
More Fucking Canals!
Aaaghh! Another fucking canal!!!.
Ann Frank House
People lining to go see the attic to see where Ann Frank's family hid from
the Nazis. I didn't go in as I had to catch the train.
