We're on the road the next day, on the way to Port Augusta. Janet's 4WD is ticking over nicely.

All the lakes in South Australia are salt. Here is one viewed from the side of the highway. It is called 'Island Lagoon' and the island is 'Pointed Island'.

Woomera is full of military displays of the rocket research conducted in the 50's and 60's. 'Woomera' is an aboriginal word meaning a spear-throwing implement.

The wind was blowing 15 - 20 knots. Very unexpected. So we camped in the lee of some trees.
